How can I get the awful textured paint off my radiators?

The previous owner painted all the radiators with Sandtex (?) and it's a real pain to get off. Any sound advice gratefully received. How can I get the awful textured paint off my radiators?
Sandtex is a water-based paint and won't really burn off, unless there is oil-based gloss underneath it. There is no fast, nice way. Abrasive paper and hard work until you have a flat stable surface, but don't bother rubbing down beyond that it is pointless. Then use oil-based paints to repaint or Dulux Satinwood. How can I get the awful textured paint off my radiators?
Organic paint stripper, it has less fumes.
As John says, get new ones will be better in the long run.
arggg - how about a hot air gun?

Probably best to get them dipped by a specialist though.
probably cheaper in the long run renewing them,
GET NEW RADS M8 SAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE
