I want to paint stripes on one side of my room, but the walls are textured..?

what can i do to make it so the paint wont seep under the tape? is there a spray or something?I want to paint stripes on one side of my room, but the walls are textured..?
Make sure to use painter's tape...you can stick it really firmly to the walls without as much chance at pulling up the texture. I don't know of a better method than taping; just make sure to run your fingernail along the edge of the tape to press it down firmly.

I've also heard of that you can use an acrylic matt medium found at craft stores. You paint it on next to the tape and then paint your wall color--it should help give a crisp line with no bleed through.
