What can I add to PVA glue to make it thicker and use it as paste for textured painting?

You can mix it with cheap toilet paper. Just mix about 1 part water to 3 parts glue. Then soak the thin public bathroom style toilet paper in it. Then use your hands to mush up the mix. It forms a sticky paste that you can use to create texture or hold things onto the canvas. I know an artist who uses this in all of her paintings. What can I add to PVA glue to make it thicker and use it as paste for textured painting?
I don't think you can thicken it by adding anything. Short of going out and buying sculpting gel I would try some experiments on paper. Brush on, give it a few minutes to set up and then try scumbling into the surface with a clean dry bristle brush to see if you can lift up some texture. I think you could repeat this process a couple times. You could also try applying with a thick soft paint roller like for wall paint. Be sure to rinse out really well or it will wreck the roller.

Good Luck. What can I add to PVA glue to make it thicker and use it as paste for textured painting?
add texture white
cornflour i think you have to cook it with the paste well thats wat you do when you make your own glue.
PVA Glue to thicken?

Ive heard about it as a size, but not to thicken things up. It would help if you clarified what paint you are using, oils, acrylic ect.
