How do I paint on textured walls and create a cute teen bedroom?

I want a cute teen bedroom but my walls are all textured and its really hard to paint on them! I wanted to stripe my walls, but idk how to get a clean line. Also if anyone has any cute color ideas. thanks!How do I paint on textured walls and create a cute teen bedroom?
Have your mom or dad help you use a laser level and put up painters tape where you want the stripes. Usually it looks better to have them horizontal, rather than vertical.





As far as colors, it depends what theme you want in your room!





Beachy theme: go for a greyish/muted blue


Tuscan/Italy: A rich apricot color


Mexican/Siesta: Rich golden yellow or bold green





You can do whatever your favorite color is! Because your wall is textured it will take multiple coats, unless you want a more weathered look, then you can do a quick fast coat on the taped off area.

to get a clean line you first do your wall all one color (this is NOT the color of the stripe!!!) then you get a certian kinda laser and it helps you get a straight line so you can lay down painters tape. then you paint inside the tape and when you take it off TA-DA!!!! it takes a loooonnngg time to dry between coats!!!! also I think that a medium shade of purple would look cool on a textured wall!!!!
