Texture in painting? what can i use with acrylics?

i love texture and want some ideas on what i could use for texture. added material or anything.





i heard tile glue is good? is that true?

Yeah, sure, tile glue is good. You could also try spreading pollyfilla and painting over that, you could uses a very thick paint called gauche, You could add sawdust to the acrylic paint and paint with that, you can paint over sand paper, lay down some denim and paint over that as well or carpet, wood, plastic, stones ect.





Basically, you could paint over anything and it would have a texture.

I love acrylics and painted with them for years


You can actually buy the stuff the keeps if from drying fast and you can get the stuff that makes is thicker and gives it texture


I have used glue but it gets a funny shiny look





get brave and try oil it is wonderful and talk about texture wow


oil gives your paintings life


I avoided oil for years and I love it now
it depends what texture your looking for i guess, but ive used sand in it before, it sounds wierd but it worked well. or if you layer the paint it has a good texture. Like the above, oil paint is really good aswell..x
