I have sand textured walls. I am trying to paint over stripes the last person painted on. They still show!?

I am trying to figure out what to do! I don't want to sand my texture off. That will leave a new stripe mark! Does anyone know if I should just keep painting layers on or any other solution?I have sand textured walls. I am trying to paint over stripes the last person painted on. They still show!?
You don't need to prime over existing paint. Painting two coats of a good paint (not the cheap stuff) should get rid of the strips. If still a touch visible you may need a third.

If you buy the cheap paint it will probably take 4-6 coats. There is more hiding ability in the good paint.

No sanding will be required.

I am a retired painting contractor so I have done this many times.I have sand textured walls. I am trying to paint over stripes the last person painted on. They still show!?
put primer on it first. just to be sure :)
your best bet is a roller, not a brush.
