Thats all it is paint over paint over paint over paint.I would like to know how artists achieve the heavy texture on these matalic paintings, its not just paint.?
Any material can be added to paint to increase the textural effect. Sand is a common additive, but some artists layer with material and paper. Other methods include using pure paint, but adding layers after the previous application has dried..I would like to know how artists achieve the heavy texture on these matalic paintings, its not just paint.?
Texture in paint can be achieved by the use of gel mediums, which come in light, medium, heavy %26amp; super heavy (can be molded) You can also add sand, grit, earth. There are far to many ways to alter the texture of paint to mention in a quick reply.
Add a gel medium to the paint itself or build up the texture with ordinary oil or acrylic paint and put the metallic paint, or gold leaf, on as the top layer.
