Can you use chalkboard paint on textured walls?

As a professional Drywaller, I wouldn't recommend it. You might consider a patch/area you want skimmed smooth and paint afterwardCan you use chalkboard paint on textured walls?
Would not advise it because if your going to write on it your chalk will probably break the paint and it would turn into a mess. Now if its because its the area you like then smooth it out scrap it down sand then paint it and frame it up. Sooner or later a bump will break.
That would depend on what the texture of the walls is... if we're talking stuff like popcorn ceilings, no. If we're talking textured mdf, perhaps.
