Painting after applying orange peel texture?

We're doing some remodeling and re-textured our walls this weekend. We used Sheetrock branded spray teture and applied an orange peel/splatter texture with a pneumatic texture spray gun.

We primed before we applied the texture. Do we need to prime again or can we just paint the dry surface?Painting after applying orange peel texture?
I have my own Handyman service and you should have waited to prime the dry wall until after you sprayed the texture unless it was semigloss paint that you primed over. Normally if you don't prime the texture you will have to put more paint in the walls especially with flat paint as it will not cover very well.

I would suggest that you at least put one more coat of primer and then paint the texture. That will save you paint and money.Painting after applying orange peel texture?
You have to prime now, just make sure you get a decent primer. Kilz or Zinsser are great.
