Is there an easy way to removed textured paint from interior walls?

A previous owner of our house used textured paint in the bathroom and kitchen. It's, well, gloppy. How can we remove it before re-painting?Is there an easy way to removed textured paint from interior walls?
You will play cane trying to sand this texture down as mentioned prior for once you have a finish paint on it it will ball up and clot your sandpaper up..the best way is to ';skim '; the whole wall with fresh joint compound..sand it down now that it is fresh to a smooth finish..prime it first, then apply your finish paints..Is there an easy way to removed textured paint from interior walls?
the best way to deal with a wall like yours is to float it with joint compound t'll smoth and then seal it with drywall sealer then two coats of latex enamel.
There is no easy way. You have to chisel it off and it's slow going, I wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand you can get stuff to cover it with, I think it's called Smoothover. Saves a lot of bother.
sand block on pole an ther is sander that dry wallers use that will also do it it has vac to help with the dust
