What's the best way to paint onto knockdown texture?

I want to paint the interior, but I don't want to use a spray gun.

Thanks! What's the best way to paint onto knockdown texture?
If you don't want to spray then use a thick roller. What's the best way to paint onto knockdown texture?
Use at least a 1 1/4 napped roller, prefereably lambskin...Synthetic roller covers matt up and dont flow into the crevices of the texture as good, where lambskin drips very little and the hair on it fills the voids and crevices of the texture in better..do not dry roll..keep it good and wet..when you get to the point that you need to use pressure on the roller to apply paint ..it is too dry then...Rolling out of a 5 gallon bucket with a couple gallons in it at a time is best and speediest..do not use a rolling pan...They sell screen grids that fit right in a 5 gallon bucket to roll your roller across to wipe off excess paint each time you dip the roller..keep it wet..do not dry roll by using immense pressure..
